How to Take Your Salad from Sad to Fab

Often when we hit that afternoon “slump”, our bodies are actually telling us we didn’t get everything we needed from our lunch meal.
Trust me, there are a lot of “sad salads” out there that are easy to grab and scarf down (you know what I’m talking about… the ones that are basically just lettuce and dressing?), but I promise you it won’t keep you full if it doesn’t have these:
🥚 Protein: think grilled chicken, crispy tofu or soft-boiled egg
🥜 Healthy fat: think olive oil, avocado or nuts
🥒 Plenty of veggies/fiber: aim for at least two types of veggies in your salad
🍠 Bonus- Carbs: think sweet potato cubes, quinoa or beans
Balancing your bowl with these components will keep you full and satisfied much longer, curb your cravings for processed snack items and help you past that afternoon slump. Plus, there are SO MANY combinations you can create when you start adding more to your salad!
